The following items were taken from reports at the Detroit Lakes Police Department and Becker County Sheriff’s Department.
Friday , May 23
-- At 3:53 p.m. an Allegera sailboat being towed on a trailer by a J&K Marine employee came loose on the 1000 block of Willow Street. It hit a Chevy Tahoe, ran over a mailbox and ended up in a residential yard.
-- At 11:59 p.m. a 22-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant after officers received a tip she was at the Northside bar. A 21-year-old man was also arrested for disorderly conduct and held in jail until sober.
Saturday, May 24
-- At 7:46 p.m. a woman reported a tree on fire in Detroit Lakes City Park.
Sunday, May 25
-- At 11:24 a.m. a Detroit Lakes man reported his pickup truck had been broken into while parked at the Sandbar and his golf clubs were missing.
-- At 3:53 p.m. a homeowner on the 800 block of North Shore Drive reported a break-in. Three sets of golf clubs were taken from the garage.
Wednesday, May 28
-- At 12:24 p.m. an accident with injuries was reported on County Road 29 about 1-2 miles north of Frazee.
Amy Wynhoff, 22, of Frazee suffered minor injuries in the one-vehicle rollover. She was treated by paramedics, who were on the scene for about 20 minutes.
-- At 3:20 p.m. a Detroit Lakes resident reported the attempted theft of a vehicle parked on the 1100 block of Wilson Avenue. The ignition had been tampered with.
-- At 4:14 p.m. a Detroit Lakes woman found a large bone while walking on the 600 block of North Washington Avenue, and was concerned that it might be human.
Police officers photographed the bone, but thought it looked to large to be human. They took it to St. Mary’s Innovis Health, where a doctor looked at it and said there was no way it could be human because of its size. It was placed in the police department evidence locker.
-- At 4:56 p.m. the theft of guide boards off a boat trailer was reported at Big Cormorant Lake public access.
-- At 5:20 p.m. a red Plymouth Breeze was reported stolen from the 100 block of East Main, Frazee.
Thursday, May 29
-- At 1:23 a.m. a Detroit Lakes man on the 200 block of Oak Street reported that several items had been taken from his car. It had been parked in the garage with the driver’s window down and the garage door open.
-- At 5:21 a.m. a car fire was reported in the White Earth village east projects area.
-- At 5:24 p.m. a Glyndon man reported that he had brought a snowmobile to Seaberg’s Power Sports a year ago for an insurance estimate and at some point between then and now the 2007 Yamaha Phazer was stolen.
