Marblehead man cited after boat hits pole
DANBURY TOWNSHIP -- A Marblehead man was cited for failing to follow towing requirements after a boat he was pulling crashed into a utility pole on Ohio 163 Saturday, according to the Ohio State Highway patrol.A spokeswoman at the Sandusky post said Robert L. Boyer, 66, was towing an 18 foot Starcraft west on 163 in the 6200 block about 12:30 p.m. when the trailer detached from his pickup truck and struck the pole. Power was temporarily interrupted in the area and the road was closed for about a half hour, witnesses reported.
There were no injuries.
