Detached trailer causes delays on Center bridge

A wood-chipper trailer that came loose from its truck blocked traffic onto the Center Street Bridge for less than 30 minutes Thursday.

Salem Police were called at 3:20 p.m. to the Wallace Road NW onramp to the bridge. The mishap blocked the right lane of the ramp.

The trailer became unhitched from a Greer Bros. truck, Salem police said. Another truck stopped with a jack so that the trailer could be re-attached and they were on their way, police said.
