Horses in SoCal crash sedated, rescued

PALMDALE, Calif. (AP) - Firefighters used power tools to cut a trailer apart to rescue two horses trapped after two vehicles collided in the Antelope Valley.

Los Angeles County fire dispatcher Roy Dong says the crash was reported Tuesday night west of Little Rock Wash in Palmdale. One person suffered minor injuries.

The horses were trapped in a trailer pulled by one of the vehicles.

Dong says the animals were sedated while firefighters cut through the trailer to free them.

The horses were then revived and appeared to be OK.

Palmdale is located about 65 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles.
