Interstate 90 East near the River Road overpass in Willoughby Hills was shut down for about 1 1/2 hours this morning after a two-vehicle accident, which injured a mother and daughter, according to police.
The vicims were taken by a LifeFlight helicopter to MetroHealth Medical Center, where their conditions were not immediately known.
Police said the accident occurred around 8:20 a.m. when the driver of a Chevrolet Trailblazer towing a camper trailer tried to change from the center to the right lane.
A Cadillac was already in the right lane and the driver of the Trailblazer overcorrected and lost control, overturning the rig, police said.
The Trailblazer's driver, whose daughter and wife are being treated at MetroHealth, was not injured. The occupants of the Cadillac also were not hurt.
